About
Hi, I'm Adriana Hernandez
Graduated in 2019 with a bachelors degree in communication design, my career took an unexpected turn. I went into sales for a moving company in New York City, where I spent three years helping people navigate one of the most stressful transitions in life: moving.
Working in the moving industry taught me more about people than I expected. Every customer had a different situation, landlords who weren’t cooperating, tight timelines, unexpected challenges, and moments when a move felt impossible. My job was to listen, ask the right questions, educate clients, and find a solution that worked for their specific situation.
That experience is now shaping how I approach UX design.
I care deeply about research because I believe good design starts with understanding the people you're designing for. Rather than making assumptions, I want to understand the problem, identify patterns in people's experiences, validate what I’m learning, and use those insights to create solutions that genuinely help.
Outside of design, I enjoy weightlifting. I like pushing myself to get one more rep or add another plate and seeing how that progress builds over time. It has taught me that meaningful progress doesn't happen instantly, it comes from consistency, patience, and being willing to keep showing up.
